We received a very creative holiday card from Baltimore Magazine. Loved it.....and then loved it again for the ideas we're getting from it.
We're waiting for a bride to let us do this as a save-the-date. Multiple photographs - first the bride's parents could hold signs that say "Our daughter Meghan" "is engaged to" and then the groom's parents have "Our son Andrew" and then the couple with "So Save the Date" "09.30.12." Get the siblings, the wedding party and the dog into the act and make it really creative. Maybe photograph a Welcome to Baltimore highway sign and throw that in. Please, we need a bride to do this so we can have fun with it!
Or, do a twist on the usual photobooth and let your guests hold signs with a word of their choice. Turn it into a version of Madlibs with photographs and words and frame it. Or, choose a long quote, write each word on a card and photograph guests holding the cards - you'll have to wait to see who holds what and how it turns out after the wedding.
These are just quick ideas - we'll think of others. But it just illustrates that with a few inexpensive props, and a little creative thought, you can have something very special for a memory of the wedding. And not everything has been done yet!
